  1. LOL! @ the kid with missing fingers! crazy, but as long as you're below the top of the rail head and leave a sufficient gap between the inside edge of the rail and yourself then you'll be fine! edit - i dont condone it though!
  2. http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Gua ... th-006.jpg
  3. lol! just a shame its not brainwashing proof glass. i bet its bloody FWD too.
  4. aaah, forgot the mini is injected. cant be that hard to change a set of seals though surely?? good luck btw, sounds like a cool project!!
  5. how is this not old skool? it was made in '85 and will still look like a car if you take the bumpers off! haters maaaan.... its deffo oldskool!! cool car dude, just dont 'max power' it!
  6. i'd sooner give 12 million taxpayer pounds to whoever it was that modified the road sign. i wont start on why religion is utter crap, i doubt OSF has enough bandwidth.
  7. i think most S/C conversions are done with Eaton superchargers off the new mini cooper S, you'll have to make your own brackets and manifold etc and get a pulley machined for it. might be worth looking on www.turbosport.co.uk. is it crossflow or pinto??
  8. i agree with the general consensus that its the wrong way to go. as said before, average joe numbnut can't maintain his own vehicle so the requirement of the MOT forces him to keep his car maintained. ANY mechanical equipment used regularly without maintenance for 2 years will be in poor condition, really the MOT should be every 6 or 9 months. i think it would help the motor trade tbh...
  9. i'd ring HSS for a petrol generator and big grinder , cut off the clamp then off comes the trucks tyres then prop-shaft! whats the guy gonna do if you have 1500 watts and 11000 RPM in your hand??
  10. don't forget about loose women!
  11. noooooo! seen that before, cant say i approve. now a capri with 4x4 cosworth running gear.....
  12. qualifications wise you'll need national vocational qualifications (NVQs), which you can do on your own at college or get on an apprenticeship if you can. generally on apprenticeships they'll do day or block release to college where you'll do the NVQ's or City and Guilds that they want you to do and then work for the rest of the time. how old are you dude? im 21 and applying for a bodywork apprenticeship, at the interview the guy said that one thing i had on my side was maturity because most of the applicant were around the 18/19 mark. good luck!
  13. more than likely could use ultrasound, would also reveal any fractures etc.
  14. bleeding the brakes on the capri and while doing the near side i didn't realise that i hadnt reassembled the off side. walked round the car to see the caliper had spat the piston out and was lying in a pool of brake fluid. totally pi$$ed off would be an understatement. to top it off, its an absolute pr*ck to keep clean while you put it all together again, and the dirt seal just won't cooperate. needless to say, today was not a good one. i hate it when the red mist comes down and i hear is 'calm down', made me want to punch my dad.... rant over
  15. thats fair enough then CFS, i never saw anything that bad when i went though, i know people huff nitrous oxide because my mates did it, apparently thats alot of fun too! (for the record i dont advocate drug use!) the hypodermic needle has to be an isolated incident, the number of heroin addicts in the UK is only in the thousands... sorry for the accidental thread jack BTW, leeds was great fun for me, the ride down was hilarious (even saw a capri in the queue, a green 'S' if its anyone on here), the performances were brilliant even on the variety tents. i suppose its what you make it though, its just a shame the food is so bloody expensive!
  16. LOL!! nobody craps in hedges or injects heroin at festivals!! yeah so a few stoners smoke weed but its to be expected really, i got high when i saw metallica and it was awesome! dont knock it! also how did i forget about the mighty RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE!!! they were siiiick! tom morello is a don!
  17. went to leeds when metallica, queens of the stone age, tenacious D, feeder, the killers etc were playing and it was great! i didn't even fall over in the mud! i hear that its gone downhill though, too many d1cks burning things nowadays... whats the lineup like for this year?
  18. sounds like fun! i saw adverts for all sorts of MOD apprenticeships down your way, i was gonna apply for the weapons technician one until i read about the fitness test!! good luck with it, you'll be set when your up to NVQ 3 with 'Ministry of Defence' on your CV! will you be weapons trained? ps - sorry for thread jacking!
  19. something must be amiss for you to get a quote like that? i'm 21 with 1 yrs NCB and my 2.0 Capri is under 900 fully comp with wynne&goch i think. i got that quote ages ago so it may well have changed. good luck with your apprenticeship dude, what are you doing for it?
  20. is this the papplewick by that pub? or have i made a fool of myself with shite geography?
  21. not a special case. i got the bug... the capri has been off the road for like 2 years but ever since i joined OSF im on here all the time! i check posts here before i check my emails! oh and the face painting was hilarious btw!!
  22. yeah lots of good tunes by metallica; fuel, prince charming, unforgiven(s), you know the ones! liking your dimebag avatar filicapri - very metal!
  23. go with the flow - queens of the stone age domination - pantera suicide and redemption - metallica hysteria - muse stockholm syndrome - muse camaro - kings of leon how i could just kill a man - rage against the machine (cypress hill cover) show me how to live - audioslave coming undone - korn some favourites
  24. good for even weight distibution! i was thinking more along the lines of custom bellhousing or isolating the rwd part of a 4wd setup! you got me thinking though! audi TTs have the engine across the bonnet but 4wd so you could force it into a fiesta? or at least waste a few grand trying!
