these gauges are fragile and if youve knocked something etc whilst putting the needles back on you could have disturbed something else they have a spring and other small bits behind which works the needle also one thing that does cause the fuel/temp to not work correctly is the small regulator on the back of the clocks if they worked before youve maybe disturbed something though
