  1. £50 to clear
  2. Single piece propshaft for sale. I had it very carefully shot blasted (ends were all neatly wrapped, only centre shaft was touched) with the intention of re-painting it. All my toys have long since gone, and this is gathering dust on the garage. Came from my old mk2 which was running a type 9 and standard English axle. £75 Collection from Iver, South Bucks (SL0). PM me for details.
  3. Bought years ago but never got around to fitting it, and is now sitting in garage collecting dust. I'm not entirely sure what it's out of, could be either RS2000, Mexico, 1600XL etc. Original panel and saves you having to hack a standard 2 dial job to fit the 6 dial dash. £150 Collection from Iver, South Bucks (SL0). PM me for details.
  4. Got the same setup you're asking about and as the guys have said, if you cane it you'll see the fuel gauge fall in front of your eyes, but just poodling about with sensible driving and its very good. Problem is, when you hear them barking away - sensible is no longer a word that exists in your vocabulary! Personally, I could NEVER have an OSF without 40/45's - they're awesome!
  5. Has anyone got any more photos/details of this car - it looks awesome. Anyone know if its for sale by any chance..? Thanks
  6. Been searching round the for sale posts for ages but cant find it - anyone got a link please? Think it was up for £3,500? Been in retroford a few times too if I remember? CheeRS
  7. That had me laughing for ages mate..!!
  8. I'm willing to bet the groom will pull the honeymoon and spends the cash on a mk1 after he's been in it!!
  9. My mk2 has started to run a little rough - when you try to accelerate there isn't any power although the engine note still goes up..? Anyway, thinking of taking it to a rolling road such as Southern Carbs - anyone had any expirence with them and what sort of price do you think i'm looking at for them to get it running properly again (assuming there isn't anything majorly wrong that needs new parts fitting)...? Ta
  10. I've been out in a few cossied escorts and they are simply awesome, I even started to collect bits and pieces to build one myself (admittedly this was partly becuase everyone else was doing it at the time ). However, I decided that whilst the cossie'd escorts are amazing and thrilling to drive, it just wasn't the same as a pinto with a big set of webers snarling for air at full chat - its unmistakable and brings a smile to my face each time I hear it. Whilst it may be heavy, old and have a dated design, for me this is what makes them old skool - its all part of that old skool ford package. If I wanted a modern engine with more power I'd buy a modern car - not molest it into my osf. With all these modern engines being fitted I cant help but look at them and view it as 50% old skool and 50% modern. It's not genuinely old skool anymore imho. I suppose what I'm saying is that the car with the more modern engine is a better car for it, but it doesn't quite have the soul of an old skool ford with the original engines that made us appreciate them in the first place. All imho of course
