We're the pin stripes on the car out of the factory lacquered over or put on after paint and left unlacquered??

When people put stripes on do they paint them on or sticker then lacquer over the top?? My car is at the paint shop and not sure whether to have painted stripes or vinyl then lacquered over the top. Your views appreciated!!

I am going up on the Saturday. I can't wait!!! I hope some of the escorts are out on the Saturday . My kids are coming with me and they are hankering on seeing the stobart liveried mk2 escort. It looks a good show.

For one thing don't get caught out like I did!!! I bought a car which looked great. Once it was glass blasted I found it had been hit on the rear quarter and dressed up to look good . It is hard to find honest straight cars but be careful and don't rush or it can get expensive, I am a testament to that so be warned. I hope you find the one you are looking for .

Stop and listen please!! It's not my cup of tea. However we all have different tastes and views. I like some things on old fords that others find distasteful. The main point is we all keep these cars alive in different formats and we enjoy them. Whoever owns the car had spent countless hours of time and money on it. I respect that. Just because he has broken the mould from the norm we shouldn't judge him. I love old fords in any format . Some I really like, some I loathe but I respect the time, money and effort that go into them . I will be at the show and will look at all the cars and will enjoy every moment !!!

nice one Vista.I have ordered a slimline pusher as i want hide it between the grille and the rad.

If you order a push one when mounting it between the grill and the rad wouldnt it push the heat thru the rad and the in turn the heat into the engine bay making the engine bay hotter???

I was going for a pull one as i am mounting it between the rad and the grill.Just wanted to make sure as once ordered i would be buggered!!

Just about to order my rad from ralloy.What rad fan should i get??? 11" or 12" and push or pull??? thanks again...........

Cheers guys. I do want them painted on but obviously I need to get the stencils cut to give to the paintshop for the outlines. I guess DMB does these as well?

I would prefer paint on but who supplies the outline???

I want some big stripes done on my car when painted. Are these fitted before the car is lacquered? Also can anyone recommend a company that specialises in stripes???

Don't give up on her. I had a new truck of mine stolen once. I had put empty bags of chipped bark on the back in the evening as I was doing some work home. Following morning truck was gone. I got in my car and followed the bags that had flown off like a paperchase !! It took me to a well known pikey site. Told the old bill and they did f*ck all. Got a phone call 3 months later to say they had found the remnants of my truck in the field next to said picky site. One week off work, loss of 3 grand of tools and a 22k truck that I only got 12k from insurance company. It knocked me for six but you have to get on and don't let the thieving scum beat you. I wish you every bit of luck and hope to see the car at a show soon.

Looks very nice. What are those arches?? They look wider than normal. The thing is I am trying to take a slightly different look with this car to make it a bit more modern however with still keeping it's cool retro look. It is a big thing to decide on if I get it wrong i am stuck with it!!

Cheers Posse I would like to see that. I want the colour to show off the contours of the arches however I want it to look really slick and classy with it.

I am gonna have it nice and low as well with carbon bumpers, spoiler, interior trims etc. I like the thought of frozen White however there are alot of White Tarmac arched mk2s about. The colour can make or break the whole project.

I am going to turn my mk2 escort into a Tarmac arched street car with grp4 front spoiler. I was thinking maybe the new compomotive th series wheels. However I am stuck on a colour!!! I was thinking ford frozen White or maybe a light metallic grey?? What colour would you choose to suit the style I am looking for??? Any suggestions considered!!
