I am building my mk2 escort. I am looking for someone to wire the whole car from scratch. I will be having an all in one LCD race dash etc. looking for a real nice tidy job. Can anyone help?

I am looking for someone to supply and fit a custom loom to my car and wire the whole car. I am struggling to find someone . Does anyone know or can recommend anyone or company that can wire the whole car???

Spoke to a supplier today and Minilite has been bought and the factory will re open on Monday.

Just found out Minilite has gone into administration . I wanted some as well!!!

I am currently building mine. Already I can see imperfections. However it's 36 yrs old and like me it has its faults but I love the imperfections and the Oldskool engineering that's one thing that makes them attractive.

I guess we are talking front legs. I got my fronts from gaz with shorter bodies ( they do everything there!!!) Give them a ring or pop in there they are very helpful.

Is the colour of your Anglia a Ford colour Tom???

I have got the tin in the garage I will dig it out and find the name of it and the paint code.

I went for a non Ford colour not everyones cup of tea but I like it.

Could someone please measure the hole in the bulkhead where the steering column goes through please. I need the measurement with the grommet out. Thanks.

Numpty......Just remember I know where you live ....... Lol. Seriously measure the actual hole size in the bulkhead mine is 35mm.

I have been trying for hours to get my new steering column grommet to fit into the bulkhead. It just doesn't fit. I have measured the hole in the bulkhead and it is 35 mm. My car is an early mk2 is there any chance this could be the same size as a mk1 ???? If so what does a mk1 have ?? This is so frustrating!!!!!!!!!

Its the rear quarters I would like to see repro'd!!!!!

I have just spent over an hour trying to put in a new steering column grommet(the one in the bulkhead) . I have failed. It is such a tight fit it's almost impossible!! Any tips to get it in????

Seriously listen. I am a bit 'green' to the oldskool scene. I bought my mk2 escort at a little bit of an inflated price. I have since had it glass blasted back to bare metal then have sorted the shell out to a sensible standard. When it is done I will smile. Priceless. Oldskoolfords like oldskool cars like oldskool bikes in my opinion are not a financial decision. You either run with it of ditch it. I am so passionate about my car and think you will be with yours. Love it,restore it and enjoy it. Keep an eye on the money by all means but savour the moment you put every nut and bolt on it . You will reap the rewards when you have finished it.
