Just got back from Le Mans in my mk1 escort. On the way back the oil pressure pipe that feeds the dash split and pumped oil all over the exhaust manifold whilst in traffic. Within seconds it was up in smoke. Luckily I had an extinguisher and caught it quick . Managed to push it through the tolls into the parking area. Whilst looking to see what happened Glenbo pulled in and helped out. Just goes to show wherever you are we all help each other. We patched her up and she got home fine!! Big thanks mate I owe you !!!! That is why I like this forum and the cars. Oldskoolfords rule !!!!

eBay got the clutch cable. Had the carbs properly set up?

I bought the whole lot front six pots and hydra mech rears. My mk2 is in classic ford magazine at the moment there is a pic in there. I think the whole lot with discs and pads was around £1500.

I run hi spec six pots on my mk2 with 13" rims . They are designed for them .

Just picked up my mk1 from maidstone exhaust centre. He done a real good job in stainless and good value. Well recommended and he loves doing oldskool cars !!!

Speak to Raz at Maidstone exhaust centre. Does a pukka job at good price . Does stainless as well.

I have a World Cup in my mk2. I want to keep it rubber but the ones I have are terrible. I think I will go with heavy duty ones and stainless steel cups .

I have new engine mount rubberz in my mk1 ( running a pinto) but they are floppy as hell!! Does anyone know where I can get some uprated ones to keep the engine solid? Thanks .

I had a great time. My highlight was taking my mk1 up the strip !!! Loved it!!!! If I can have a second highlight it would be James Harris and Harry Goulding burning out at the start when they were up against each other. Just awesome.

I used Torques off eBay . They do everything you will need . I used Teflon for brake and fuel lines and rubber for oil breathers. Nice stuff.
