RedexRob Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 Just got the Cortina through the MOT again (sometimes fails on rear brakes - shoes glaze up and TCA bushes) but what the hell is this new doccy about ? You normally walk away feeling chuffed with your embossed paperwork but a computer printout just doesn,t do it does it? Oh well at least thats it for another year
Admin Vista Posted September 30, 2006 Admin Report Posted September 30, 2006 And it takes up more space to store, the old ones would fold neatly amongst all your other docs. While we're bitching about documents, V5C's are war and bloody peace these days!
RedexRob Posted September 30, 2006 Author Report Posted September 30, 2006 Supposedly to make it more difficult to have a vehicle not to be used without the new owner being responsible I suppose...but did we really need a form that complicated ? I believe their is a campaign by the Plain English society to simplify things like this....GRRRRR !
Mr Sam Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 bloody ridiclious system if you miss your slot you have to re-book
dangerousdave Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 The computer they use for the mot is supposed to send details straight to the DVLA. It is easier when your car tax is due, you do it on line and the computer checks your car is insured and MOT'd. No more queuing behind coffin dodgers collecting their pensions at the post office. HOORAY!
