RedditchJay Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 no not sorted yet, runs fine at low revs but goes onto 3 and bit cylinders if he tries to rev it..... sounds and feels like carb balance or float levels... Rich has it booked on a dyno tune later this week.

I know Rich wanted to be there yesterday but the car wouldn't pull you out of bed at the moment let alone produce a half decent standing 1/4 time. Its a catch22 he needs to put miles on the clock to get it set up but it isnt running properly and is poss overfuelling on numbers 3&4 so there is a risk of flushing the bores or introducing fuel into the oil......

We went for a walk round the corner and found a near mint MK1 Tina sat in a field. It belongs to some one after a few questions. Still- nice to spot a OSF when not expecting it. ROUTE 38 nr PLYMOUTH - a 'flock' of Trummies turned up and a shed load of plastics which soon cleared off!!!

Daggle Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 I just had the boys round for tea and crumpets when they mention that the owner of the very sweet chevy that turned up to the diner on Saturday, this one below lives about a 2 min walk away, so off we trot to go and say hello... He is currently sorting out alternator problems with his chevy, when I mention my 'box. "Oh I've got a Anglia" the guy mentions, he then proceeds to show me in his lock up, 2 Anglias, both in states of repair, one has a 1760 precross flow waiting for it, the other has a escort front end and sits soooo low.... The we have a look through another garage and find a Mk1 Zephyr Estate (How Rare ) Its amazing what some people have locked away.... No piccies though to show you, I didn't take me phone,

Trevmk3 Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 it was sunny in the east mids today but i was stuck in the workshop sweating my arse off , the sun caught me yesterday at the world superbikes (i was getting funny looks off everyone for wearing a t-shirt, just cos they were wearing coats wooly hats doesnt mean we are all nesh ) but the wind was really strong.
Mr.Sumo Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 Spent the morning sorting out my job situation in very sunny Feltham , then popped down a mates garage because the Granny is " pinking " on full throttle.....sorted that out ...then he said did i want to see his " secret" Anglia he is building....ooooh yes please i say....so off we trot ...and fook me is it georgeous 1966 Anglia...2.1 HT Racing pinto...fr / rr discs....spax all round....Broadspeed paint job ( not a close colour , the fookin original colours ! ).....battery in boot....bias box....6 x 13"s...... I wish i could get some pics up but he won"t let me , believe , when you see it , you will all love it

I'm looking forward to the summer. It was nice driving to work with the window down and the sun shining
