Mr.Sumo Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 ..that the owner of these 2 is a **** ! Hes got another van in his workshop , and enough spares for OSF"s to retire a rich man ... but wouldn"t even sell me a top hose for the Escy The Corsair is a geninue 1 owner from new...with mega low miles
Admin Vista Posted April 15, 2007 Admin Report Posted April 15, 2007 There's plenty of hoarders out there who don't like giving up spares, what can you do
john_3.0s Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 at the end of the day its his property, you wouldnt dream of asking him to flog you the telly in his loft he dosent use anymore then get p!ssed of when he refuses. however i agree its frustrating, especially when these things are left to rot when the owner has no intention of doing anything with them.

Just frustration from me i suppose .... and as for the cars , well , he would sell the Corsair...if you gave him £4500
john_3.0s Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 blimey 4500 sheets!! its worth keeping on at these ppl so they get si p!ssed off they give in! my mate did that for a couple of years and walked away with a 2 door 1300xl for 200 quid when the old boy gave up driving
tinky Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 It can be frustrating but as has been said before the parts/cars are these people's property. On the many occasions I have knocked on doors, my success rate has been 50/50. Nowadays, I leave my number then call back a month or two later if the car is still there. After that, I move on. These days you can't really offer buttons either, but if I am asked the old chestnut "make me an offer" I take a leaf out of my mate Kev's book and reply "£50"......... Stupid question. A person knows what they want, end of! Rant over......
