Guest M.Bird DOHC Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 yes m8! Press old studs from hubs! Press in new studs! Slide spacer over studs! bolt on wheel!
xpackken Posted May 7, 2007 Author Report Posted May 7, 2007 how do you get old studs out is it a case of a lump hammer . forgive me if this all sounds silly . _________________ Danish Forum
Guest M.Bird DOHC Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 Mate id recommend removing the hubs and pressing them out! But you can smack um out at your own risk! Press the new ones in with a press or Pull the new ones in with an old wheel nut and some washers for packing! Its best to press but something tells me you havent got one! You May have to remove the hubs to get the new longer studs in! As you may not have the distance to get the stud in the hole!
stu Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 take off hubs mate do it on the bench. vice/press or ginger with the hammer,
ratman Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 press them out kids old wheel nut on a few turns and hefty wack with the club hammer to fit new ones I put a over size nut on first then wheel nut and do then up untill the flat at the back fits snug against the hub or half shaft job done you boys never changed a broken stud at the track
Anglia68 Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 ^^^ What Ratman said but a little WD40 on the studs before starting doesn't hurt either.
