Independant valuation for insurance?

The car's going back on the road in a few weeks but Adrian Flux are asking for an independant valuation for my agreed value.

 

Anyone know who would be able to do this?

 

P.S. It's a MK1 escort.

Unusual for an insurance company to ask for an independent valuation until the value is quite high. My insurance company is happy with some photos and a form I fill in myself as long as it's below £15k.

 

Is there a classic specialist garage any where near you that can look at it for you?

I asked for a high valuation, thinking that they would knock me down a bit to the figure I really want.

 

Don't know of any garages round here that would know what it's worth. Trouble is everything on it's been modified so I need someone who'll understand the money that has gone into it.

Same as Vista for me , sent some pics of the Escort to the insurance company and they agreed just by the pics and my spec sheet of the car
