Just a quick question for you pye man, I worked with a few ladds from round your way a few years ago. They used to always drink in some working mens club and they always used to bang on about a compatition that went on around there for growing a certain vegitable and I cant for the life of me remember what it was Im sure it was marrows or something and the entered them into comps every year. They also kept ferrits aswell

Please can you tell me what it was because its really bugging me now Cheers

Pretty sure it is marrows Will have to find out for sure off one of the old Pye clan.

 

Its kind of a tradition up here. I never heard of the ferrit thing tho

I think they kept ferrits just for when they went out to catch rabbits, They just launch them into the burrows and the rabbits shoot out the other end.
