my dad tought me to drive in a mk2 2.8i ghia x when i was 8 , then i was racing minis by the time i was 10

i think i was about 15, my dad let me drive his company diesel astra van about 20 feet

 

when we'd finished he told me to get out, he was already half out of the door and i went to get out, problem was, it was running and in gear so as i took my foot off the clutch it decided it wanted to keep moving, he had to jump back in to put the handbrake on

I was about 11 in a rover 214si, there is an abandoned british army airfeild called bishopscourt about 3 mile away from where I live and we used to buy scrap cars for it, oh the amount of times we crashed!

I also stuffed my da's merc through a hedge at 90 when i was 15

Taught me a lesson none the less, i don' speed on the road now at all

Driving tractors since about 7,but first car/van/jeep was my Granda's Isuzu Trooper in a field when I was 11.Also had my first crash when I was 12 in a Citroen Berlingo.Just pootering about when I suddenly realised that the brake pipes weren't connected.

i was 11 and it was an austin maxi and a mk5 cortina estate! my m8's dad had a skoda dealership and lived on a farm so he used to give us some of the part ex cars to kill on the farm, used to smash the windows out and have our own banger races with the added excitement of trying to through bangers into each others cars they also had a land rover recovery truck with a harvey frost crane on the back but we got banned from using that as we tried to lift his brothers brand new, delivery mileage mr2 with it and ripped the front end off it

tractors when i was about 10 then had a volvo estae and a P100 when i was about 13, drove several volvos and a jag down an aerodrome

 

 

and still the best ever car ive driven is the first a dirty great volvo 940td soo soo smooth

Oh, this is probably a good time to mention my sis, she was about 4 years old if i recall correctly, dad left his auto V8 SD1 tickin over on the drive with her in it, she climbed into the front and managed to sellect reverse and put it through a slatted fence across the street and down an embankment, had to be craned out!
