orionmojo Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 can you bunnyhop? then you can dirtjump i used to do abit of dirtjumping when i was younger, but moved on abit. the best thing i'd recommend it get some kneepads, and some good pedals. the pedals will help you not to slip off, and if you do, the kneepads will make sure you dont do yourself (much) permanent damage that'd be the basics i'd start with anyway. many times i came off and was literally unable to mave for a few mins, my legs just wouldn't work (no pads tho). its not big and its not clever. after that, i'd say its whatever you feel comfortable with, you need to be able to move quite freely i'd say, and just go out and do it.
young un Posted June 1, 2007 Author Report Posted June 1, 2007 added you - now id take off ur addy - lol

bmxdave Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 Ive just gotten back on my BMX after a 6 month break. I was mad into street riding, mainly grinds and tech stuff like barspins and kickflips. As mentioned above, no matter the discipline, get shin pads! I used my old footy ones but any will do, just make sure theyve got plenty of protection.
james p Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 i cant ride proper any more cos my hands are fooked up i was realy into treails street and a little park on bmx ps i agree with the knee / shin pads saved me a good few times

Jay_harrier Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 I've had some awesome crashes (mainly doing downhill), dislocated both shoulders & had a compressed vertebrae are the ones of note, some good handstands & vaults over the bars too. It took almost 2 years before the hair started to grow again on one of my forearms... would I do it again? yep! Get yourself some good armour is the morale...
old skool freestyler Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 sound like you have had fun lol look on wiggle.co.uk for some good armor
