Jay_harrier Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 Has any one ever made there own as im going to have a go as 125 squid i think is a lot of money for what looks like not a lot of work. on car adjustables as well. Having looked at mine I reckon a bit of deft work with a hacksaw, grinder and welder would turn out a decent pair. You'd probably need a fairly serious drill too for the hole for the thread on the outer end. There's nothing elegant about mine & these were bought! I can post some photo's if that will help anyone - they're not fitted yet
Wessie Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 when i do mine i think im just going to lop the 'un-necesary' end off and weld a threaded tube on in its place with a nut on the end, then i can just wind the rose joint in and out
Wessie Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 thats the idea but i was gonna use rose joints instead of rubber bushes
CéDriC Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 thats the idea but i was gonna use rose joints instead of rubber bushes Like Milton one, but adjustable in situ. Seen in a mini preparation old book, they drill, weld a piece of tubing, and threaded it.
Wessie Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 thats the idea but i was gonna use rose joints instead of rubber bushes Like Milton one, but adjustable in situ. and cheaper (nobody get arsey it was a joke !)
BIG G Posted June 2, 2007 Author Report Posted June 2, 2007 Im going to use 5/8 unf rod ends LH thread into an ajuster basicly copy the bought ones.
andrewg1323 Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 I know a guy who makes em, i;m waiting for him to get back to me with a capri price!
