Could Be Good News!

I have been waggling spanners today on the Anglia. That noise I had which I have been trying to trace & which I though sounded like massive pre-ignition.... Well, I think I might have found it!

 

It turns out, the exhaust manifold which is off the 1300 (the one I decided to use), is warped It is only on one port though, and the gap is very slight, but it is leaking. So, tomorrow, Jim will be splitting manifolds, and using the Anglia exhaust manifold with the 1300 inlet manifold.

 

Keep your fingers crossed I really really hope that this will cure it!
