....I assumed I had warped discs...got them off last night, they are not discoloured and I put a metal rule across them and they don't appear to be warped....

...I am out of ideas as to what is causing the problem....as you can see everything has been replaced, can a warped disc be really really hard to spot or should it be bloody obvious ????

...ANY suggestions welcome...don't want to buy expensive new discs if that isn't the problem..............HELP ME OBI-WAN YOUR MY ONLY HOPE..

Yeah, See if u can get en engineering company to re face them

should be a lot cheaper than replacments.

That's usually the cause

If not then I'm screwed :?

are you sure the calipers are true to the disc? i got my hubs re-faced recently whilst replacing the pads discs and bearings to solve the same problem it worked - still not sure what it was though - deffo one of them :D

Sound like the discs you need a dial gauge and re-fit hubs/discs onto car then with dial gauge carry out a run out check! Did you clean up the hubs before fitting the discs?

If you don't have a dial guage put feeler guages between the disc and pad, spinning the disc will show if it is out of true

Have the same problem on my Escort, the disc is very fractionally out of true cos the hub is slightly uneven, but braking from 70 is not a pleasant experience!

May also want to check your roll bar bushes, and failing that, check the hub nut is sufficiently tight (rocking the wheel top to bottom should show this?)

Otherwise I dunno

well u woulda put alot of heat threw them at silverstone... my vote is warped discs... and yes its King hard too spot

whip em off mate , put them against the flatest surface

a window ! ( patio windows are great for checking true )

unless your house is oldskool and has those crazy windows that were made by hand using sand found on a beach

had that problem on my RS was warped disc's :(

but looking at them and even spinning the wheels there was hardly any rub but they have to be perfect you could get them skimmed

good luck :D
