tazrocks88 Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 im gonna be looking for some paint to do my car befor long i have a paint sprayer (mate) who is doing it for me once i have preped it. i am probly gonna want vista orange or something close! was just wondering what type of paint people would advise and where to get it?
andrewg1323 Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 Don't buy cheap paint! its finish is crap compared to the more expensive brands A lot depends where you;re buying it from if its eBay etc. you;re limited to the cheaper brands and these days not many paint suppliers will supply 2K paints to anyone outside of bodyshops unfortunately
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 Get yourself some 2 pak (2K) mate... but be quick, as of next year you will not be able to buy it. This eco loving government will ban it as well as cellulose, so you will only be able to get water based paint! Any good motor paint shop will sell it
Admin Vista Posted June 12, 2007 Admin Report Posted June 12, 2007 Vista Orange the man has taste! I'd recommend Spies Hecker 2 pack that's where I get any Vista orange I need.

andrewg1323 Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 Been ages since i brought paint! I went for cheapish stuff and think the colourcoats £35 a litre with nice laquer being £60ish a litre you;d prolly want around 3 litres of each. you can easily sped £100 a litre too.... frightning really
tazrocks88 Posted June 12, 2007 Author Report Posted June 12, 2007 so its probly gonna be about £300-400 for desent paint and laquer
