X-pack-Glyn Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 whats the crack here, easy or hard to do..whats needed etc...ta.
old skool freestyler Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 turn the sump bowl to face the front i think
old skool freestyler Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 not sure to be honest if the bowl is at the front then maybe you might need a slightly bigger gearbox tunnel aswell
105Speed Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 If you have the original steering set up on the car then you need a front bowl sump and there wasnt a UK vehicle fitted with a front bowl sump The common mod is to cut and shut the original tin sump... Just make sure you can weld otherwise it will leak

orionmojo Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 i also think the exhaust fouls the bulkhead, not 100% though.
DeuceCoupe Posted June 20, 2007 Report Posted June 20, 2007 choppachris has just put 2ltr pinto in my mk 2 cortina if you want his number pm me as hes not on the computer at the mo.
escort21 Posted June 20, 2007 Report Posted June 20, 2007 Seen them with pintos in with original steering gear and the exhaust has to be a rubbish shape to miss it...best off putting the front clip from a capri then the engine mounts will be sorted as well your'll need the capri struts as well. Glyn...when Ian pulls out his V8 soon i'm gonna have a look at his setup and copy it
