 same mate, i cycle about 20 miles on a sunday but its getting boring, and the immediate effects are slowing so i want to carry on

i didn't see that article though, but i picked up a copy of mens health whilst at a mates and was just thumbing through it, they reckon that just 30 mins a week workout reduces a heart attach risk by 73% :o

I have this theory that's based on not over exercising like Bruce Lee did (he was extremely fit after all wasn't he?)

Your heart is only meant to beat so many times in your lifetime, so chill out, find a beach to relax on and be damn sure and not use them up too quickly! Top tips for stretching your lifespan out include a reclining sunbed on a tropical beach as you're sipping spiced rum while being massaged by an exotic south seas beauty

the most important thing really when exercising alot is water - (about 2 litres a day at least) and protein (which your body needs in order to recover).

i use protein powder everyday but these arent really needed unless your doing alot of weights. lots of food are high in protein - tuna, chicken, pork (more than beef and less fatty  )

normal things apply - less alcohol, more healthy food and more fruit/veg

Yeah the whole 'your hearts only good for a certain amount of beats, don't use 'em all up' is a good one! I use it to wind people up all the time!

Carrying that lot, should be exercise in itself

BTW, yes - you are gonna die, just the same as everyone else  It's just we don't know when. The irony is, you could be going for a morning jog and suddenly keel over with a heart attack / or hit by a bus. You were trying to get healthy but it killed you.:sad:

I like Vista's idea. Lay back and drink rum on a beach with a dusky maiden :beer::beer:
