Hello.

I've been comissioned by a national mag to put a feature together about Zetec conversions. There are loads about but the important aspect of this feature is I'm looking for a Zetec that is running on its origonal ecu and injection system, as opposed to throttle bodies or carbs. The feature will cover what's involved with getting the engine to run with the original ecu in an old skool Ford and the work involved. Obviously the car will need to be clean and tidy because it will be a bit feature in the mag – 4 pages I think. I'm working to a short deadline so if anyone can help please pm me asap. I'm based in the east midlands so the closer the car is to me, the better really.

Thanks, Graham.

Hello.

You'll need to talk to Andy Law who has a Zetec powered anglia van which runs the original ecu and injection. You'll probably find him at the forum on 105speed.com

Andy Law's van was in ppc last year. It's a shame because it would have been ideal for what I want. They wouldn't use the same vehicle again so close to the previous feature even though the angle of the feature is different.

It's occurred to me that a fwd conversion might be an easier job - no cross members to work around. Does anyone know of a Mk1 or Mk2 Fiesta with a Zetec?

hermy bee is doing one in his mk1 escort at the mo on an extremly tight budget and is using all the original ecu etc

That sound ideal but I need a finished car, thanks anyway.

Flemo contacted me and did the photos (and interview) and my Cortina is in the August edition of PPC (out yesterday). Thank you Graham for the call and a big thanks to Twinkle for pointing him in my direction.
