Is the gearbox tunnel in an rs mk2 escort the same size as in a standard mk2?

Thanks for the replies guys... I'm sure they're the same size but like you say with the hole in a different place... I'm trying to judge whether it's worthwhile getting a larger tunnel to put the 2.0 pinto in... I know a bigger tunnel is probably the better option but i don't want to have to muck about with the carpet...

tunnels are the same,rs spec shell have the gear lever hole more back than non rs

at the moment my mk1 has a standard tunnel with slight moding at the front where the bellhousing is. thats with a type 9 box. if ur mating a standard x-flow box to the pinto u wont need the mods. tho just thinking about it u have ally bellhousing to go in anyway so no u dont then u may have to cut the gear leaver hole out and turn it round. think retroford covered this recantly
