Good fun and an excellent daily driver. Like Sumo says, V6 is best. Look out for dodgy ABS and transfer box slippage.

I had an '85 2.8 and loved it

Not Oldskool I know, but to and from work they are ideal ;)

I saw an early 4x4 abandoned at the side of the road in Newquay. I asked my brother to go ask about it for me but he wouldn't  I'm looking for another 4x4 for work. Had one before converted to LPG but sold it to my brother

Ive got a 2.0 dohc RWD sierra ghia on a K plate. I wouldnt go for a 4x4 myself, not as much fun as a 2wd sierra. Plus the 2.8 and 2.9 is far too juicy.

Just get a late ghia model and put a 4x4 rear diff on it,and go out and have some fun 8):ykt:

Mk dad cut his thumb off in an xr4x4,

he rolled it three times on the way back from the pub, dropped his fag in the process and the car landed on it's side. as he was climbing ou he saw his fag and bent down to pick it up, and the door shut on his hand severing his thumb..............So he pushed it onto the wheels and drove it 10 miles home with blood gushing from his thumb.....pulls up outside (in a bit of a state) and comes to the door, blood all over himself, my mum goes "Oh no ! not again ! Who was it this time !" and he goes "It was that Fukin tree that jumped out in front of me ! Are you scared of blood ?" then he pulled his hands out from behind his back, half a thumb in his hand....And my mum fainted fell forwards and broke her nose !!!!! HAHAHA Thats my youngest memory

He's knows as "One thumb johnny" "The one thumb hero" and Gt......

But yeah. 4X4's are a it gassy but great motors !!!!!!
