Congestion Charge Cameras and Our Privacy

Here's a thought...

 

We all know there was a bomb scare in London in the early hours of Thursday. A Merc apparently 'crashed' into some bins and the driver ran off. (why target a night club? and how can you fook that up at 2am? I thought terrorists want to disrupt 'business and economy) (sounds like a cunning way just to tell us all that we need to be alert to Terrorists without actually doing any real damage)

 

Anyway, Police said they would be reviewing the Congestion Charge videos, and that they could trace the movements of the car from when it entered London.

 

These cameras are only supposed to record number plates between 7am and 6pm. So why are they still switched on and recording at 2am in the morning? Eh?

 

We were all assured that these wouldn't be used as a Big Brother type spying system.

 

 

Looks like we are being fed more lies.

Oh, and I bet we never get to see these videos either, bit like the plane videos that hit the pentagon.

I see what your saying Steve, but surely if these camera s are used to catch these type of people, it can only be a good thing.

Basically it doubles up as a CCTV system so why switch it off?

So what if the government wanna monitor my every movement i;ve got nothing to hide!

Any of you are free to know i went for a walk earlier, been sat watching tv for the past hour etc. makes no odds to me!

I have nothing against being monitored. I just dont like being lied to.

 

They originally said this would not happen. But it blatently is.

I do, I think the big brother attitude is a disgrace, as a free nation we have the right to be annanymous, and these cameras take away that right, everywhere you go they are there! makes me angry
