  1. Hi Any info on whether it has REMOTE central locking, electric windows, air-con, etc, etc. We currently have a 4 door 1.6 escort but it is a lot older and we might be tempted to upgrade, but the remote locking is a must. Steve
  2. Postman just delivered mine - gotta say I'm well pleased with it
  3. 392k cars scrapped. Bringing tears to my eyes going through that list
  4. And what's with the loads spelled wrong! Ford Ecsort, Ford Eecort, Ford Ecort...
  5. Well that was a depressing read
  6. Where's the list we need to add our names to, or can I start one? 1. Steve (OMJ)
  7. I'll be buying mine again this year - can we reserve ahead to secure one?
  8. Are you bored with them yet? I'd love a set like those...
  9. It was in December 2008 (and it was REALLY cold that day)
  10. Hi A bit of an update, my lad is one year old in a few days. I think I'd like to hang on to the RS (money permitting) at least until he is old enough to remember it and say ''My Dad had an RS'' And hopefully get some photos of him with it. I doubt it'll come out of the garage this year, which is a shame Thanks for all the interest. Steve
  11. Hi all. Sorry, I've decided to hang on to the car for now. I'll put it on sorn for winter as always and see how I feel next year. I got as far as people wanting to come and see it, and then the thought that someone may be driving off in it was just too much and I couldn't go through with it Thanks for all the interest and positive comments. Steve
  12. ...and I have the bill of sale to prove it. I've owned this car since 2004 and had lots of fun with it, however recently it's just spending all its time locked up in a garage. A car like this needs to be out and enjoyed. My circumstances have changed recently and I no longer have the time to spare for this. I'm ultra paranoid about where I keep this and who knows about it, so if you're after a viewing it will have to be at a car-park nearby. This is a lovely car, it's great to drive. I recently did a trip of over 300 miles which it did faultlessly. There are no dints in the doors as I never park it in public car parks, ever! It's not concourse, there's a few bits that could do with tidying, I've just not gotten round to them yet. During the last 24 months all I've had done is replace the rear wheel bearings and the diff bearings. Otherwise the car is mechanically fine. It's MOT'd and Taxed and can be driven away. This is the only proper RS Alloy... I really don't like getting it wet I only tax it for the 6 months over summer. The car hasn't changed much since I bought it, it did come with some nice modifications though... Thatcham Cat1 alarm/immobiliser Yale locks on boot and doors Strut brace Roll cage Bonnet pins Electronic ignition Elec fuel pump Fuel pressure regulator Bearing strut tops Bilstein shocks 2" Lowered front and rear Cylinder head from the Injection so can run on unleaded and has larger ports 145lb springs Double width anti-dive kit Battery relocated to boot 5 speed gearbox Oil cooler Vented discs Braded hoses K&N air filter Scorpion Exhaust The photo below is an old shot, the drivers seat is much nicer now but does still have one small hole still. Back in 2005 I took it on the strip at Santa Pod (My first and last ever try at this...) Not bad for a standard 2.0 engine... In 2006, 2007 and 2008 Classic Ford and Retro Cars used it in their promotional bits... Then Dolce & Gabnana paid me to bring it to London for a photoshoot for an advert that appeared in TEN Magazine in 2010. Sorry for the rubbish photo below, I wasn't allowed to take photos! Erm.... I've got the magazine... And of course it made a few appearances on the TV in an episode of Ashes to Ashes... I have the entire episode on my PC and can supply it too on DVD/Memory stick if required... The video can be seen here.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=M7cYAIHCKrs I'm looking in the region of £8000 for this RS. Equally I'm kinda happy keeping it in the garage but it just saddens me that someone else could be enjoying it as it deserves to be I don't come on OSF very often nowadays, if you're interested then it's best to text me on 07889 802355 The car is in Hertfordshire. Thanks for looking. Steve
  13. This is sold now.
  14. V Reg Ford Puma 1.7 (with air-con and heated front windscreen) This is my other half car, we're selling both our 2 door cars to buy a 4 door. Baby forces sale. £1100 - Located in Stevenage. Very good condition. Taxed until end of July, MOT to Feb 2014 82,000 miles. Thanks Steve
  15. Ah crap, I knew I'd miss something off - off all the things! £1000
  16. I need a 4 door car now, so this one has to go to make space... I've owned this car for just over a year, but new baby forces sale. We had thought putting a baby car seat in and out the back wouldn't be too much of an issue, but it really is! I love this car, it looks great, sounds great, and goes like the clappers Always starts first time and has never let me down. It's 13 years old now, so has the odd scratch and a few rusty spots starting to develop on the rear arches, but overall everything is in good condition. Electric windows work fine, remote central locking works fine, both keys are present. I use this car for work and so it does a daily 50 mile round trip to London and back (parked in a secure private car park). I've recently done drives to north Wales and Sheffield (twice) in it and it's not missed a beat. Alarm, ABS and Traction Contol all work fine. Standard Ford Radio/CD player, but additional speakers in the rear shelf. Many more hi-res photos here... http://www.steve-john.co.uk/files/FiestaZetecS/ 130,000 miles, Mot expires Nov 2013, Tax expires Aug 2013 Ring or text me on 07889 802355 Thanks Steve
  17. Cheers Trouble with the RS is it's not kept at the house and is a bit of a trek to use it, I did less than 500 miles in it last year, and the same the year before. It's just such a shame to have it locked away when someone else could be using it. Not to mention a bit of a life-style change happening soon, so I'll get even less time to use it... I dunno, when I do take it out I love it to bits - I just need to do it more often.
  18. Sorry, I've not posted in a while or attended any meets, but I do swing by the forum occasionally. I still have my white mk2 and the yellow RS2000 but that's on sorn for winter. The RS2000 may be up for sale soon... Just a few very recent photos - I had to take it out in the snow for some rwd fun Oh yeh, I also bought a new camera But hopefully I want to get back into the OSF scene a bit more this year, the cars are starting to feel a bit neglected. Steve
  19. Looks awesome

    Speed

Urgh, the whole motorway lanes thing drives me mad too. So many people hog the middle lane, but recently seem to hog the overtaking lane too - often not even at 70mph. Whats up with drivers lately? Driving standards are dropping badly.

    Speed

Is it just me, or do people seem to be driving slower and slower lately. I'm always stuck behind people doing 30 in 40 zones, and 20 in 30 zones. They doodle along with a train of cars behind them and seem oblivious. And on motorways, who remembers when if you stayed at 70 you were 'in the way'? Now if you do 70 you're one of the fastest cars on the road. Personally, the anti-speed people seem to have got people scared to even do the speed limit. It drives me nuts I tell ya Anyone else think this?
  22. Great photos! Looks like a top day. Was it a nightmare getting out again?
  23. How could someone do this? :-/ They have turned it into a sign post :-/ Someone ring him and save it...?
