  1. I felt the same when I had my roof swap done. I went in to see my car completely gutted, no windows and roofless. I almost wanted to cry! I didnt realise they would gut in inside too. This is how it looked: http://www.steve-john.co.uk/escort-site ... CN1939.jpg However it came back better than ever - you've got to trust these people, they know what they are doing This was when I picked it up a week or so later: http://www.steve-john.co.uk/escort-site ... 2. I have to admit I was out for a 'spin' yesterday also... http://www.omj624p.co.uk/streaming/snow-mj.wmv
  3. Cool, put my name down for a DVD when you're ready to start selling them.
  4. Very impressive - you just keep getting better and better. How long did it take to render all that into a flash movie?
  5. I work in North London. Are they anywhere near Edgware?
  6. Check all the electrical connections to the starter motor are clean. Make sure the engine earth is ok, clean all the connections. What you describe is exactly how my RS was, the battery was checked and was 'fine' but it didnt start and seemed exactly like it was flat. Turned out to be a combination of dodgy earth and bad contacts at the starter motor. Fixed it all at no cost other than some time to clean it all.
  7. I think the Lasers need tapered. The ones I have are tapered. I'm up now, so feel free to ring
  8. There's nothing nicer that a decent black RS2000 - I always wanted a black one. I bet it's a nightmare keeping clean though.
  9. Are they the ones with the tapered and loose colar round them? I had these fitted to my old capri when it had laser wheels, I have loads of them left over in my garage. I'm in Stevenage. Steve
  10. Ive been looking at a few recent posts in 'Readers Rides' and there is a definate trend that the good old 4 door is getting more and more popular. Which is good cos I really like them. I miss my old 4 door Nice motor you've got there
  11. Thanks My g/f was amazed too that I got it wet on purpose, but I think it was worth it.
  12. Poor car doesnt get out as much as it used to in the Summer, but I managed to take it for a spin this weekend. Just the one photo for now, hope you like it....
  13. Ask the question "why was traction control invented?" Because cars loose traction and wheels spin! No fault of the driver, just the road conditions at the time. So anyone without traction control is likely to get done at some point??? Hmmm, thats fair!
  14. Jesus, I didnt know you could get one for some busy-body reporting you. I must have some well tollerant neighbours then cos I always take the corner into my street sideways. Must be diesel on the road or something
  15. I had a very similar experience with my RS. Battery was new, alternator was ok, but it was still 'flat' every morning. Turned out it wasnt actually flat, but a bad earth was making it seem flat. Steve
  16. Whats up with the fiesta? I didnt know anything was wrong with it?
  17. All our police should carry guns. Remove him from society permanently.
  18. That was excellent
  19. I took my RS off the road last month. More because of the £95 tax and I rarely use it in the winter so it seems like a waste. My white mk2 stays Taxed all year, but thats just in the hope that it snows I wont drive either in that slushy salty crap that our roads are covered with all winter.
  20. Are you already insured fully comp on your main car? Cos then you can usually drive any other car 3rd party only. Surely that would help?
  21. Thats excellent. Would look good on my RS too
  22. I have 2 council garages - they are £8.50 each per week.
