john_3.0s Posted July 13, 2007 Report Posted July 13, 2007 yup, scarry huh?? I bought my mk2 1300 2 door with t&t for 220 quid, my mk1 rs2000 for 850 (that was quite cheap then though), a mk2 1600 sport for 400....if only i could turn back time.....
Pipster007 Posted July 13, 2007 Report Posted July 13, 2007 In 1987, my oldest sister bought a MK1 Escort with a years tax and MOT for £25, yes £25. She drove it for the year and when the tax and MOT ran out, it was driven to the scrap yard. There was nothing really wrong with it either. Some peeps are restoring cars with worse bodywork than that one had
john_3.0s Posted July 13, 2007 Report Posted July 13, 2007 i scraped my mk2 2 door as it needed a new wing and rear valance - it was way better than my mex im doing now you wouldnt dream of scrapping one in that condition now!
flyingbanana Posted July 13, 2007 Report Posted July 13, 2007 i brought mine for £250 11 years ago...then found out after i could have got it for £60 has i knew some one who knew them
