Fuel Presure Regulators

Im going to be camming a 2.8 Cologne engine which will be running Injection. Ive been told i need to increase the fuel intake. does anyone know much about it?

 

1. do i need a fuel presure regulator?

 

or

 

2. can i play around with the metering unit?

i dont think youl need to replace the fuel pressure regulator. itl be a case of playing with the metering unit. it may be even a case of just plonking in the cam and the injection side of things taking care of its self?
