sab6024 Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 ......job you've told someone you did? I'm only asking because the other day this guy told us he made rubber d**ks for dollies and I creased up A mate of mine years ago told this girl he was trying to impress that he polished the blades on wind turbines to make them cut through the air better, making them more efficient So I just wondered if any of you had done similar
hellblue Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 You didnt fall for the polishing the blades one did you...Sab My mate would put down on his CV that he had worked in these fantastic jobs at places that never existed
Gareth Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 I said I was drunk, then she walked away........ Dunno why.
orionmojo Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 my mate is the worst for it, he can run off the biggest line of bulshit you evr heard. i've been out with him and he's a dolphin trainer, (we live in birmingham FFS ) he's an excavation expert and travels the world, (he really is a jcb drivr though )
Osgood Isgood Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 I'm a Draughtsman (don't EVER call me a CAD operator!!!) and my Mrs thought I delivered beer when I told her when we first met....she was going out with an Airline Pilot at the time so I thought I had no chance, but I won her over eventually! I once told a bird I was a Draughtsman and she had no idea what it was, so I told her that I installed those sausage dog things that old folks put at the bottom of doors to prevent draughts! Dosey mare bought it hook line and sinker! What depresses me though is that I bet no-one on here under 30 has got the foggiest idea what a Draughtsman is have they?
Messenjah Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 well im 18 so that counts as under 30 and dont u draw plans for well anything really .... buildings planes cars etc etc

sab6024 Posted July 17, 2007 Author Report Posted July 17, 2007 So come on....what is a draughtsman? I'm not falling for, someone who lays sausage dogs by doors for oldies
Osgood Isgood Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 So come on....what is a draughtsman? I'm not falling for, someone who lays sausage dogs by doors for oldies Think Technical Drawing, think failed Architect...that's us! The requirements for the job being the ability to draw a stright line with a straight edge and give all the girls in the typing pool multiple orgasms at a moments notice! Unfortunately it is a dying art. I was trained on a Drawing Board (back in the 18th century) but it's now all done on computer.....and all the fun has gone out of it, especially as typing pools disappeared years ago! Bet you wish you hadn't asked now don't you
Stu_B Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 I've only used a drawing board at college (I have used a dyeline plotter though)! I was employed as a draughtsman when I was younger but now I'm an Engineering Technician as I do more than just CAD. Eventually I hope to be a Highways Engineer! As you can tell I really wow the ladies with my job!! haha
