Yes use something thick and sticky ( not custard :lol: ) like an oil treatment additive etc because most rebuilt engines don't actually drive a car for years and just sit there :sad:

dont you just boost the oil pump before you fire it? :?

or at the very least turn it opver a few times without the plugs

 

This is a good idea whatever you do but you should still lube up the bearings and rings with something that is not going to just run straight off! Id defo recommend Grafogen for lubing up the cam lobes, especially if its a new cam! :thumbsup:
