My dashboard lights suck....

yeah, take the bulbs out and fit led equivalents.

 

if not, you can fit neon strips behind there quite easily, and thy show through great

my capri is the same, love the way you get a dimmer to turn them down too, like they would be too bright!

Everyone knows they should blow, not suck. Can you change the polarity?

have you tried replacing them with new ones as they are normaly really smoked up inside and give out crap light

Remove the blue bulb covers from the dash, they get brittle and cloudy with age/repeaded heating and cooling, then either use coloured 5W 501 capless replacements or colourd LED bulbs, either mod will make the dimmer actually usefull again
