Well chaps, After a long chat with son North Weald racing oficials, it could be good news about North Weald, after lots of rumours about the runway being sold off to make way for houses, this is now NOT going to hapen in the forseable future, The local airport needs an emergency escape runway, so Stanstead Airport has to have a fully servicable emergency runway within a short flying distance, and guess what, the airfeild they have chosen is NORTH WEALD.As long as the racing is of a format that can be easily be stopped and the runway cleared it looks as if drag racing is safe for a little while
