I may hot rod it...though it is rare so i'm not sure.

I'm going to sort the rust out first and then decide.

 

Can anybody on here decode the chassis number because i'm told it was a 1600 from the factory but i just want to confirm it. I know the Germans had 1600 MK2s but it just seems wierd for a hearse but then its also manual which is also wierd!

 

I think for now i'll just lower the front and paint the steels black and rat around in it :D

well at least it might get the coffin to the church without holding up traffic then.

351cleveland, narrowed 9"axle and tubbed! satin black with flames and a sticker on the back window:- `No dead bodies left in hearse overnight!` Ultra-cool :thumbsup: I want 1!!!!

Thanks for the interest guys...I shall have to get waffling so I can post you some pictures.

The club think there are 5 or 6 of these left in the country, so not that rare by old hearse standards....sort the rust then hot rod the hell out of it! :D

Did you say it has a 1600 in it??

That body style (MK2 Granada not hearse) was sold here as an XD Falcon with nothing smaller than a 3.3L 6cyl (and that was the small uncommon engine!)!

theres one round the corner from me!

 

noticed it on the way home the other day....looks like a pikey is living in the back of it judging by the matress and duvet!
