borneo Posted August 22, 2007 Report Posted August 22, 2007 I'm lookin to put some side exits on the hell beast and I think I'm gonna have a go at making my own. First, is this a good idea? How much science is involved? I know I've got to fix the exhaust to the car with rigid mounts and use some flex sections to fix it to the manifolds but that's all I know so far. Second, can I uses bike cans. I just think the carbon ones look rad.
Fiesta Steve Posted August 22, 2007 Report Posted August 22, 2007 Second, can I uses bike cans. I just think the carbon ones look rad. You can use bean cans if you like, its just a pipe
Noodles Posted August 22, 2007 Report Posted August 22, 2007 Its all ground clearance a bike can is usally pretty big, make sure the mounts are not 100% rigid unless you use some seriously fexible tube I have snapped so many mounts
baz105e Posted August 22, 2007 Report Posted August 22, 2007 i had a bike can on my turbo'd peugeot 106 coming out from infront of the n/s/f wheel, it looked the sh*t as long as there is no air leaking from the exhaust there should be no problem MOT wise baz
