Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted August 22, 2007 Report Posted August 22, 2007 in the haynes manuals the bhp reading is it wheels or flywheel the rolling road is wheels and my 1.3 escort was 66bhp at the wheels my mate says the haynes manual figures is the flywheel so therefore my 1.3 must have been good as you loose bhp between the fly wheel and wheels or am i just thick
Admin Vista Posted August 22, 2007 Admin Report Posted August 22, 2007 They'll be flywheel figures in the haynes manual much like the manufacturer quotes in their own glossy publications. Whilst the flywheel figure is more accurate for engine output, it's what you can get onto the black stuff that counts.
Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted August 22, 2007 Report Posted August 22, 2007 so was 66 at the wheels good for a 1.3 escort ie better than standard
