i acyually thought of the same idea the other day after hearing about the fingerprint logins at the library.

 

to be honest i bet you can rip it off and just join the wires underneath anyway.

i just fit a hidden kill switch to my motors so it looks totally standard key ignition all the iggy lights work as normal but until you flick switch nothing happens

I read a story about a top of the range Merc (I think) that has a biometric starter, was car jacked. When they couldn't start it, they chopped off the owners thumb so they could.... :shock:

you gotta have the owner signed in first to be able to switch it to valet mode

i thought so and it's really easy to do as well. your average car thief doesn't really know what he's doing mechanically anyway but the problem is that if someone's proper determined you're never gonna stop them.

 

i know a guy who had his 3dr cossie stolen from his garage, he had all the windows and doors of his garage alarmed but not movement sensors cos the dog lived there most of the time, people came in and lifted the roof off his garage and actually lifted the car out through the roof and onto a truck, his neighbour saw the lot and just assumed it was supposed to happen cos the guys had yellow jackets on. the truck had false plates and the guys have never been caught and the car never found
