Who here has had very different results from two or more rolling road centres using the same car? I have just had mine done and at one place the best run was 90bhp and a while back at another place the best run was 113bhp. Is this normal or should I be looking at the engine for answers? :?

I know that some rolling roads reedings differ from others but i dont think it should be that much, i think you might have to look at the engine. How long ago was it when you last took it?

About 6 months, the power feels the same  90bhp isn't much off standard for a 1600 xflow. Rubbish

you will find that most of them read differant, normaly giving a higher bhp than you realy have,i belive theres only a few that give a accurate reading

but and the end of the day the reading doesnt realy matter, aslong as they use it to set your car up right, dont matter if the bhp fiqure is high or low

if you get what i mean

but im sure we all would like to see a nice high reading so we can brag to our m8s :ykt:

They're all different mate , expect 5-10 bhp difference even without touching the engine from all the dynos in the world . Also if they alter the cars timing and fueling then you'll get a different reading from the last time , depends on whos set up is the best :ykt: . If you've got different tyre sizes/pressure than before , test it in a different gear , put weight in the boot to stop it wheelspinning , go on a cold day and not a hot day , etc etc then you'll also get a different reading . Plus some rolling roads will mis-tune your car to lessen it's power so that you then pay them to fix it  . I always put my engines on 4 different dynos and the power is normally only 5-10 bhp different , then add up all the numbers and divide by 4 and that's about right
