Do any of the tuning companies on here tune Cologne engines - especially the 2.3...?

Why not put a 2.8 in unless you want to keep it original??

You can fit a 2.8, i did in mine, and if its allready a 2.3 then youre laughing, if its a manual even better!!!

 

i would go for the carbed 2.8i, you can do bits and bobs to em, but tunability wise theyre nothing like the crossflows and pintos.

There is a place that does some sterling work producing very quick 2.8 cologne engines, including 3.4 litre conversions etc

 

I'm buggered if I can remember their name though

Slik 50 put me onto a firm up here in our neck of the woods called Car Clinic who specialize in the cologne engine. There number is 01254 775845. Ive never used them but they have a very good rep apparently.

Car clinic are a fantastic old skool style machine shop that still to this day race prep and fettle all colonge and essex engines.

 

Ask Pip as he travelled all the way up north and had the caper engine fully overhauled
