Mr Sam Posted September 9, 2007 Author Report Posted September 9, 2007 so far tyheyve been fine im gonna mount some wood between the strut brace on boot brace thingy and mount them in that still miffed on where to put the front ones, the head units also only cable tied to the underside of the dashboard
Copey Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 the magnets not strong enough to stick to the inside of the doors?
Mr Sam Posted September 9, 2007 Author Report Posted September 9, 2007 just about, did thatr with some old speakers didnt half make a racket from the outside of the car
Daveyboy20 Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Speakers sound better with some sort of box behind them - i had a 6x9 in my house hooked it up to a stereo to test it and it sounded shit, i was well dissapointed, until i put it into my upside down hard hat from work and it sounded 100 times better! think you should mount them with some sort of 'space' behind like a small makesift box or something - maybe outta balsa wood so it aint heavy!!
Burns Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 sam, i've screwed mine to under the dash, above and to the right of the pedals is a metal bracket that a couple of relays latch onto, i've just moved the relays and put a screw there, i also put another screw into the flat metal above that i'll get photos tomorrow if i remember
Mr Sam Posted September 9, 2007 Author Report Posted September 9, 2007 i was looking up there, and it fell down ill have another go and yes the 6x9's will be boxed in with some wadding i know how much of a difference it can make ive caught the bug too, i alllllllllllllmost bought a 15" 800w sub on clearance for £35 its gonna weigh alot though, then ill need an amp......then ill have a flat battery and a heavy slow car
