GIV E A BRIEF SPEC, WHAT CAR IT'S IN AND YOUR FASTEST QUARTER MILE TIME!

 

MINE IS A 1300 XFLOW WITH TWIN CHOKE CARB, KENT CAM, L+B BOTTOM END AND PUKKA DISTRIBUTOR ND LEADS IN A MK2 2 DOOR ESCORT AND I GET A 16.3 BUT IT WILL GET FASTER!! IM NOT RAGGIN IT HARD ENUF YET!! LOL

I haven't got one but I nearly bought a 1300xflow turbo the other day with apparently 190bhp @ 6000rpm, with a T3 turbo and fuel injection.

 

Not bad for a hundred quid

have some of that!!! lol what did it have a stage 3 turbo or summin around that?? so why 100 quid? nd why didnt you buy it!!! lol i would of!! infact i would if he still had it!!!

It was on ebay and I had a dentist appointment and missed it. I don't think there is much demand for forced induction crossflows as there are cheaper routes to get more power. I sent the bloke a message but he said it was the only one he had and knew of :(

and it went for £100. shocking!! i know that there isnt need to go xflow turbo, but for 100 quid its certainly cheaper than a standard cossie engine and was still 200 bhp nearly so the same bhp for less and lighter!!! lol dont sound bad to me!!! lol u got the link to it so i cn see the pix?? dnt matter if you havent. j

Yeah i bought the engine, im going to start a proper post on here soon with pics etc. its a 1300 escort block runing a injection system from a pug 205 gti, because the compression is so low it ran crazy boost thats why it had 190BHP! the compression was acheived by using a chambered 1600 head and 1600 pistons. im planning on putting all the bits either on a 1300 or 1600 fiesta block. the 1300 seems more apealling as it will be a proper screamer! will post up some pics of it and start a new post on here at the weekend :)

my 1300 xflow is standard apart from a k&n air filter, 32/36 weber carb and soon ill have a burton rocker cover. was treated to a bogg brothers tune up.

 

its good enough for 62bhp at 5000rpm....still got another 500-1000rpm but i didnt wanna take it to the limit incase it broke.

 

dunno the top speed or 0-60 or anything.

Antz its a 1.3 lump mate not a souped up cossie - you cant break it by ragging it once every Blue moon - it does it good to Redline it occasionly - The only person I know that can Fook a 1.3 lump up is Perry - Thats because for 3 hours he had the thing on full chat coming back from Boxhill and all it was was the oil filter had split or summat and all the oil pissed out then ceased the block -Perry used to have the valves bouncing lol - NutCase !!

you are right guys.

 

well dave bogo said he would only take it up to 5000rpm. ive had it up to 5500rpm when playting and it was about 95mph according to the speedo but its al fun.

 

trust me it gets ragged in the lower revs. gave it a good thrashing back from coventry. sideways on the roundabouts :twisted:

I know he's not on here but locally there was/is a guy called Kevin Lofts who had a very quick 1300 xflow powered Escort.

 

Don't know the full spec but it was a fully stripped out hillclimb car

in a mk1 fiesta

 

the engine only cost me £40 8) yet 2 put it in the car yet tho :P

Antz rag the shit out of your engine please, you are young and it's the law. If it breaks I have a tuned 1300 lump that you can have fer nowt.

been having a think today, should i stick with 1300t engine or have a 1600t engine??

1300 son!! that way when you go i got a 1300 under the bonnet nd they laugh you get to piss yaself laughin when you blow their doors off from the lights :woohoo:
