Mk1-Maher Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 Help needed identifying these wheels, cost me £40 in ok condition i think they might be original rs wheels but im not 100% sure as im new to this, here are some pics im hoping its £40 well spent. the code is C 81 eb aa Is this just a capri wheel or something else? Cheers guys for any help.
capriaddict Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 They look like capri laser wheels to me. £40 still a good price for a good set though
Burns Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 yeah, i believe the 6j's are capper lasers
Mk1-Maher Posted September 28, 2007 Author Report Posted September 28, 2007 Cheers boss thanks for the info, at least i havnt made a loss (yet) Do you know the difference between these and rs wheels? Cheers
meXEco Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 The area around the nut holes is thinner and the width of the spokes are thinner on RS alloys.
Messenjah Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 and rs alloys need nuts with a flat rather then tapered washer
Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 the easiest way to tell is the aerea around where the wheel nut goes in is thinner
Mk1-Maher Posted September 29, 2007 Author Report Posted September 29, 2007 Well ta for all the help, might still just tidy them up and stick them on as the car has 15" 5 spoke compomotives on it at the mo, still not sure which will look better.
Rick Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 not to state the obvious here but dont RS wheels have 'RS' stamped on them?
