Rick Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 digging tons of tarmac up and erecting a post to mount a gate on... i have to build a drive on my back garden cuz theres too many thieving bastards round my way to ever leave my escort out front.... god NO!
pauln Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 Just wondering is its any quieter than an ashley (mines just too much at motorway speeds). I know you have had a few problems with PLR but i need an escort exhaust to mod to fit my cortina (so the quality of fit is not important) and have been informed (on another forum that has plr as a sponsor) that its a reasonably quiet system. I would value your opinion.
Guest MK1gaz Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 Fabricating mounts to make my Peter Lloyd exhaust fit... I had to chop up and weld my exhaust in 5 places to get it to exit out the rear panel in the right place . I know how you feel

Time for plan B (if i can think of one) plan b. buy ear defenders I'd have to buy a set for the Mrs as well. My current 2" system sounds about as loud as johnnyh s. The system diameter I need for the zetec is 2 1/4". I would just go to powerflow and get them to do me a system (no speakers though). But I'm still toying with the idea of irs and the system will have to go round that and i'm not about to splash 500notes plus on a system that will need modding in a couple of years. I'm currently looking at the Jetex custom boxes in order to make a 3 box system. I did have a 3rd box in the ashley system when the car was x-flowed and it was a bit quieter. Apologies Johnny if i'm intruding on your thread.
