been in the engineering desgin area when i found this

 

apparently cosworth gave uni the engine but where then told to chop it up and not use it but the rods and crank are ok still

they tried, as well as that they have the engine and gear box from a db5 cut up in the same way, and a series and the front end of a continetal gt which belonged to a student when he worked at bently

 

 

but we did nab the signed picture of patric stewart 8)

Scratch around many of the MVT departments at most colleges and you'll find similar - we had a ton of different runners for calculating fuel consumption on running engines, rebuilds etc including a knackered BDG.

The college I went to must have been poor. We just had a rack of about 20 CVH's :(

I got my alternator from an old 1600 pinto at Wandsworth college , not exactly an exotic find but well handy :wink:

The college I went to had 2 racks of Crossflows!! :shock: Don't know whether they were 1100s, 1300s or 1600s or whether they still have them or not, this was 11 years ago & they've changed units since I went onto the new college campus which opened earlier in the year!
