JAY PS Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 Here some pictures of my mk2 ,first time ive washed it since i bought it in DEC 06 Just going for paint so i thought i better clean it ! Going to see some proper polishing like when i first owned it in 1991 ! Drove it today and it goes well but will need a couple of oil leaks sorted first Will put back on the road in time for shows !!! These are mega rare now and this one was a press car when new It took me weeks to find one in 91 and most of these got robbed for there spoilers ,wheels and recaros Ive owned it three times ,it was daily driven until 95 then was used for shows and sundays from 95-2000 when i sold it to family friend who had a stroke ,i got it back in 2001 and then sold it six years ago as i had a cosworth and a xr4x4 and the show circus was boring me . Anyone remember the car, it was at Ford fair most years up to 1999 I dont think the last six years have been as kind to it as its been left to rot here and there it will be brought back to show condition soon here it is in 91 outside my dads Today after a wash
Guest pooface Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 You need to get the rare white wheels back on her! Darren had one of those about a month ago and i was Quite shocked to See Recaro's in it and it did go very sideways
pelvins Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 i like the rims on it now , i think i need some new ones for mine
JAY PS Posted October 15, 2007 Author Report Posted October 15, 2007 They were sourced from Germany in 1993 after the tyres for the trxs went over £120 a tyre ,and i needed all four ! I sold the original wheels years ago but they were well past it . These are RS Ford wheels for the german spec 2.8i as an RS option They are now very rare but theve never been refurbed and still are in good nick ,may get spit and polish to refurb them wheen it comes back from paint

JAY PS Posted October 17, 2007 Author Report Posted October 17, 2007 Yeah she was on ebay at xmas ,i rescued it as the winning bidder ,it was heading for banger racing according to owner ,he was offered £700 before auction ended just to race it . The car was on my drive only 1 day and a banger racer knocked at my door ,so its kept out of sight now She did the show circuit for 10 years from 92 -02 and somewhere i have some pics of yours with mine at Ford fair @96-97 Was in the Granada Mk2 club with Paul F and then defected to the now defunct Granada collection ,anyone know what happened to rod and his wife ,i havent seen them in years . Being a 2.8i there was only a handful at shows even ten years ago ,now i should think they only number about 50 or less There was another graphite grey 2.8i owned by a lady A675 MRD? that used to meet with us at shows and another X reg in black the same spec as mine with auto and option pack that was around Guildford about 10years ago Hope i havent bored you

Have you still got the pic of my granny next yours? i would like to see that. I had to travel up to London to pick the car up, well worth it mate i can tell you. the only snag is the off side wing is slightly dull. i can live with that. yeah, my granny is well out of sight of prieing eyes. i have been asked at petrol stations from banger drivers etc...no really bothered as thats how i got the granny bug, i use to race a few years back. i havent come across many granny drivers on here. i hope they are the next ' i want one ' phases. i wont sell her as it is hard to find a good example nowa days. right, ive probably bored you know...take it easy bud
