I rem when I fitted a 1600 manifold on my 1300 (knew I was putting a 1600 in soon) was a nightmare! Couldn’t get on the drive in reverse hit everything, grounded out on something and when I got out and looked couldn’t work out what it caught lol! Most of the problem was the clamp. I got it chopped around so now its about the same as the chassis rail and not had a problem :thumbsup::mrgreen:

something to bear in mind, you will need to size one end up to fit over the end closest to the manifold if you are going to cut and weld, if you cant do this then ask an engineering firm, its a 2 minute job, but it needs to be done to allow the air to flow more freely without getting caught on weld oking into the exhaust

where it is cut, one part will need to overlap another, have a drawing for you :D

where exactly will you be cutting it, i think by you could probable lose those 2 diagonal pieces and but a shorter bent piece and weld that on instead
