DeanMk1Capri Posted October 23, 2007 Report Posted October 23, 2007 THE GEARBOX ON MY CAPRI THREW A FIT LAST NIGHT DRIVING HOME FROM WORK AND I THINK IT WAS TRYING TO TELL ME THIS MORNING ON MY WAY BACK TO WORK THAT ITS HAD ENOUGH GOOD JOB ITS ONLY A 10MIN DRIVE . I HAVE A GOOD IDEA OF WHERE TO GET A REPLACEMENT, BUT IN CASE I AM MISSING OUT ON SOMETHING BETTER - ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED ... OR MAYBE SOMEONE HAS A GOOD 2ND HAND REPLACEMENT THEY NEED TO SHIFT? ITS FOR A MK1 3.4 V6 ESSEX.

I destroyed 2nd gear in my 2.8 4 speed box while giving it death up the strip
