Johnson Posted January 21, 2006 Author Report Posted January 21, 2006 the old engine is now dead and gone and im now gutting the bay ready for preping and painting, making way for the new lump. here is a pic of the hole in the old block. i still have to weld the five speed kit in. here is another pic of the seats i also have matching feet rests and battery tray. here is the rear cage with the new diagnal and this is it being mocked up in the car i intend on recessing this letterbox exhaust up into the chassis rail?
neil_2802 Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 Looking good You having a full cage in there?
Johnson Posted January 23, 2006 Author Report Posted January 23, 2006 year, ive left it back at home. when i get a chance it will be brought over and reunited with the rear of the cage. bolted in, and dashboard cut about. then it will be off to get powdercoated.
Johnson Posted February 1, 2006 Author Report Posted February 1, 2006 here are the seats mocked up in the car in the process of cutting up the foot plates for the cage, just need to drill them and weld them in , then the cage is off to be powdercoated. oh and the red strut brace is not staying.
boab Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 lokks good man screw painting it got a rapid mota in it and go have some fun wae it !!defo the wheels am gona use on mine matey !!
Johnson Posted September 19, 2006 Author Report Posted September 19, 2006 Quick update, as you all can see that my avatar thing has schmidts on it. Lately i have come to realise that if i aim too high, yet another project will never get finished like my anglia. So instead of trying to save up £1500 for the euro split rims ive bought these period alley cats. they came of a starlet hotrod race car. I indent to get them painted orange and refurbed. Also some low profile rubber will be needed. As for the engine. well you will have to wait and see.
antz Posted September 19, 2006 Report Posted September 19, 2006 nice!!!! them seats look a bit uncomfy though
Johnson Posted September 20, 2006 Author Report Posted September 20, 2006 Cheers for the comments The seats arent that bad honest. and if they do give me piles i will just have to make up some big sponge cushions. just thought i would show you my new run about which i bought off Peter. well happy with the car. its a minter with a sweet little motor. it looks the part too. so i can go to work in style now
Doc Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 Thye both look spot on mate ..... Right about the wheels just get em later ...you know it makes sense
Johnson Posted September 22, 2006 Author Report Posted September 22, 2006 Thats what i thought until i started polishing the alley cats. I now know why lepsoms charge £52 a wheel ive made a start on hand flat polishing the alley cats. shit me its hard graft. Ive painted the rims orange to match the vinyl, and polished the rim and face. this is the first finished wheel i have a feeling that by the last one i probably wont bother. im yet to get a mop head on it to give them a final buff, but im quite pleased with the results so far. BEFORE: AFTER:
mk1super Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 Mate if that fiesta ends up like your drawings prople will when they see it
Johnson Posted October 4, 2006 Author Report Posted October 4, 2006 Cheers dude, that is still the plan so long as they dont get mess on the car they can to their hearts content here is the 1700 high comp stage 3 engine on 40's. i have painted it a very fetching shade of orange. to match the wheels and cage ive also bought lots of polished and new auxiliaries to be bolted when properly dry.
Fiesta Steve Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 That engine looks great m8, keep up the good work.
PIG Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 nice motor m8,seems to be coming along well.looks the part bud, keep it up

Johnson Posted October 25, 2006 Author Report Posted October 25, 2006 Quick update, i have made some front grills now and in metal fab ive also cut some plates to weld in below each foot on my cage. ive also made the plate for strengthening the bulkhead behind the servo. I have also made a start on the seat brackets which will allow my kirkey seats to fit the original runners. And i have also started to mount my sub and amp into the boot floor. which will be vinyled in black with the other speaker builds and door cards. ive welded up the seat brackets and i need to grind down the welds and powdercoat them. I have managed to use the original recaro runners so i can still move the possitioning back. The seat brackets are now in and the harnesses are bolted through
Johnson Posted October 26, 2006 Author Report Posted October 26, 2006 cheers mate shes getting there. Hows yours coming on?
