Mr Sam Posted October 28, 2007 Report Posted October 28, 2007 look up kenlowe pretty sure theres a temp sensor that goes in one of your coolant pipes then you just set it at what temp you want it to come on http://www.kenlowe.com/fans/consumers/fans04.html
BIG G Posted October 28, 2007 Report Posted October 28, 2007 get a fiesta thermostat elbow has a sender allready in it hey presto you just have tomake a new hose up
antz Posted October 28, 2007 Author Report Posted October 28, 2007 get a fiesta thermostat elbow has a sender allready in it hey presto you just have tomake a new hose up what sort of fezza? and is it simple as just put that in, wire up the fan and away it goes?
Rick Posted October 28, 2007 Report Posted October 28, 2007 i think you have a temp sensor in the thermostat housing and then you link it into a circuit for your fan.
BIG G Posted October 28, 2007 Report Posted October 28, 2007 Fiestas with a cross flow mate. MK1 or 2. I did this in my first mks essy but the top hose outlet is a different angle but easy to sort new hose. then take a wire through a fuse to the the fan then take a negative from the fan back through the switch you can even rob some of the wiring from the fiesta you get the housing. it is easy
antz Posted October 28, 2007 Author Report Posted October 28, 2007 sounds a lot easier now cheers BIG G.
Toby Posted October 28, 2007 Report Posted October 28, 2007 The Kenlow part that Mr Sam spoke of does go in via the radiator top hose. You don't have to cut or make anything the capillery tube just gets taken up by the rubber of the pipe. You also have a variable stat then too, although once it's set you probably wont touch it again. You pays your money and takes your choices!
antz Posted October 28, 2007 Author Report Posted October 28, 2007 cheers toby. im currently weighing it up weather to go for a pacet or a kenlowe
Toby Posted October 28, 2007 Report Posted October 28, 2007 Sounds like all the bits you need will come with the kit. Also you have to choose if its a bolt on jobbie or held on with kind of cable tie thingies through the rad. I went bolt on, but no doubt others can tell you different.
antz Posted October 28, 2007 Author Report Posted October 28, 2007 thanks again. ill have to look into it
