tim Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 a ford engine xflow.pinto, zetec, cvh, pre xflow
jimbo Posted October 31, 2007 Author Report Posted October 31, 2007 That much I figured out with the Ford stamp However (and you might shatter one of my big misconceptions here), I thought that there were different bellhousings for different types of Ford lumps. One for Pinto, one for x-flow, and so on........Is there just one universal design?
pauln Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 Looks like an rs 2000 one. i have one that looks the same behind my zetec with a t9. Theres one pattern for the 4 cyl engines up to the zetec and another for the 2.8 (not sure about the 3l) and some strange pattern for the duratecs.

jimbo Posted November 1, 2007 Author Report Posted November 1, 2007 cos thats going kin cheap on ebay isnt it but u need the clutch arm as well i belive Very well spotted sir! I actually need it for a 1600 x-flow, so I don't think it'll suit my needs.
jimbo Posted November 1, 2007 Author Report Posted November 1, 2007 Has anyone got a piccy of (or useful info about ) the right kind of bellhousing for 1600 x-flow to type 9 box?
bomber1 Posted November 1, 2007 Report Posted November 1, 2007 just use the orinary steel one that comes with the type 9 as thats how they fitted it in my mk1 with x-flow
bomber1 Posted November 1, 2007 Report Posted November 1, 2007 yes m8 as the one that came off the x-flow went straight back onto the pinto just u will need to get the right clutch plate
jimbo Posted November 1, 2007 Author Report Posted November 1, 2007 Can you educate me Jason. What's the second "starter motor hole" all about on this box? and where would a clutch arm go on this bellhousing? Even though I'm a way off owning this kind of thing I might as well learn while I'm here.

pauln Posted November 1, 2007 Report Posted November 1, 2007 Has anyone got a piccy of (or useful info about ) the right kind of bellhousing for 1600 x-flow to type 9 box? I used that type when I still had the x-flow fitted here it is coming out. I use an RF hydraulic release on mine but would the sierra fork fit in the rs bellhousing. The 2 starter positions are handy with the x-flow it was on the drivers side and with the zetec it's now on the other.
jimbo Posted November 1, 2007 Author Report Posted November 1, 2007 Well it's a long way to go before I find myself on the strip. And when it comes to weight saving, I think I need to sort out the driver first Cheers for the input.

16super Posted November 1, 2007 Report Posted November 1, 2007 Can anyone tell me what kind of engine this T9 bellousing is for? Cheers, Jim[/img] Apparently it will fit any x-flow or ohc a bit universal hence starter locations either side £180 brand new
