now its gettin cold the van is getting harder to start(due heater plugs i think) so i went to halfrauds and bought some easy start just in case.

when i spoke to my dad later that day he said "oh, you dont wanna start using that, its like heroin for an engine" i thought, what? the engine starts goin out on the rob to by more easy start or somethin. No he reckons the motor gets used to it (or addicted ) and then will never start without it, its happened to him loads he reckons and i have heard this before. but surely the problem is that people just dont fix the original problem that required the use of easy start ie. heater plugs.

is this another old wives tale like if ye pull a face and the wind changes youll stick.

I never found it made a blind bit of diffeerence in all honesty

I think the addiction theory comes from If and when you need to use it, the engine is in a sorry state of tune/condition in the first place and will not get any better only worse if you dont sort it out, so as you become accustomed to using it on your engine, the underlying problem is getting worse and you find the engine harder and harder to get to start and have to use more and more easystart to get it running
